New York, USA — July 2025
Chukwudi Chuka Okafor, Chief Strategic Advisor and Project Director of the Glorious Wealth Fund (GWF), represented Nigeria at the prestigious Global Alpha Strategies Summit 2025, held in New York. The event gathered elite economists, institutional investors, and FinTech innovators from ten leading economies, including the United States, China, the United Kingdom, and Nigeria.
Prof. Okafor’s keynote address, titled “AI and the Future of Frontier Market Investments,” earned widespread recognition for presenting a clear blueprint on how artificial intelligence can accelerate financial inclusion and sustainable growth across emerging economies.
During his presentation, Prof. Okafor showcased the Glorious Wealth Fund as a model of national FinTech transformation, explaining how its AI-powered systems — developed under the supervision of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria (SEC Nigeria) and guided by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) — enable transparent, data-driven investing accessible to every citizen.
“Nigeria is not waiting for the future of finance — we are building it,” he declared to the summit’s global audience.
“Through AI, education, and responsible regulation, we are proving that inclusion and innovation can coexist.”
The summit featured participation from over 300 financial leaders representing sovereign wealth funds, investment banks, and AI research institutions. Prof. Okafor’s presentation placed Nigeria among the top three countries recognized for national-scale AI FinTech implementation, alongside Singapore and the United Kingdom.
Delegates from major institutions — including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, and the London Stock Exchange Group — praised Nigeria’s balanced approach to financial innovation, which combines global standards of risk management with strong local governance frameworks.
Following his presentation, Prof. Okafor met with representatives from the African Continental FinTech Council to discuss potential cross-border collaboration and regional adoption of AI investment education programs.
The Glorious Wealth Fund team confirmed that insights gained from the summit will feed directly into its 2026 national expansion roadmap, with plans to introduce new AI risk modeling tools and ESG-oriented investment modules. With this milestone, Nigeria strengthens its reputation as a continental leader in AI-integrated financial systems — and Prof. Okafor continues to position the Glorious Wealth Fund as a bridge between technology, education, and economic empowerment.
